Requests for quotations moved to the Unified Procurement Portal: what changed for suppliers

Author — Azat Masaurov.

Since 7 October 2026, procurement by request for quotations (RFQ) in Kazakhstan runs on the Unified Procurement

Portal (zakup.gov.kz). Other methods remain on the public procurement web portal goszakup.gov.kz. For many suppliers,

especially small businesses, RFQs are the most common way to take part. Below is what exactly changed and what to

check so that you do not miss a bid.

What moved to the Unified Procurement Portal

According to the public procurement portal's announcement, the full RFQ cycle is available on the new portal:

All RFQ actions are now performed in the account on zakup.gov.kz. Planning and purchases by other methods (open

tender, auction, single source) are still carried out on goszakup.gov.kz. You can switch between the portals without

logging in again.

What has not changed

The move concerns the portal; the rules stay the same:

You can calculate the security and check your price for dumping in advance — for example, with the free bid

security calculator on this site or in the Telegram bot @parsertenderkz_bot (the /calc command).

What suppliers should check now

  1. Logging in. Go to zakup.gov.kz with your digital signature (EDS) and make sure your account opens and your company data has been loaded. Do this in advance, not on the last day of bidding.
  2. Crypto socket. The portal warned that from 30 September 2026 the system blocks price quotations submitted with an outdated version of the crypto socket (the signing software). Update it before you need to bid.
  3. Money for security. Make sure the 3 % bid security is available when you submit.
  4. Deadlines. RFQ bidding periods are short — from 2 working days. Purchases spotted on the last day are often impossible to prepare in time.

Where to find announcements

RFQ announcements are visible on the Unified Procurement Portal itself. In addition, a check on 11 October showed

that they still appear in the announcement search on goszakup.gov.kz: on the first search page, 41 of the 50

latest announcements were RFQs. If you have already set up searches on the public procurement portal, RFQs will not

disappear from them. It is worth updating internal instructions for your staff: bidding and contracts are now on the

new portal.

What this means in practice

The main risk of the move is losing time the first time: a new interface, a new account, checking the EDS and

software. With short RFQ deadlines, an extra day can cost you the bid. So it is better to walk through the process

once in advance on any purchase, even if you do not plan to bid on it.

How not to miss relevant RFQs

There are many RFQ purchases, each with a short deadline, so they are easy to miss when searching by hand. I built

the Telegram bot @parsertenderkz_bot: it collects tenders from 29 platforms, including public procurement,

Samruk-Kazyna and subsoil users' procurement. It sends the relevant ones to Telegram right after publication, with

the amount and bid deadline. The filter is set by sector, region and amount, and the interface is available in

English. The first days are free: https://t.me/parsertenderkz_bot?start=ad_siteen.
